Figure 1 - Problematic Ford 6 Disc Radio with the CD ERROR

There is a series of Ford vehicles that have the radio shown above in Figure 1 and have the notorious CD ERROR.  If you have this unit and would like to use your CD again by  eliminating this CD ERROR, then we have the instructions for you.

These do it yourself instructions can be performed without any soldering required.  All that is required is the following tools and supplies:

1 -  Torx T10 screwdriver
      (most people don't have a Torx screwdriver but they are cheaply available where you buy tools...WalMart, Advance Auto, Home Depot, etc.)
2 -  Small flathead screwdriver
3 -  Philips head screwdriver
4 -  Jeweler's small phillips head screwdriver
5 -  Needle nose pliers
6 - Gorilla Glue
7 - Eraser
8 - Paper clip

If you can handle the above tools, then you can handle this repair.  This repair should take approximately 45 minutes to an hour if you are taking your time and being very methodical in your repair.
